Today celebrates the birth of an amazing man. Bruce was the most positive and uplifting soul I have ever met. Tears flowing down my face as I write this post just remembering the countless sessions we had sitting at the dining room table of Rona’s Dream on Torresdale putting together the Gazette every week. As much as I dreaded doing it every week, I miss the hell out him and all of the random gross noises he would make next to me for 8 hours. The bond that developed between us is immeasurable. I could never have asked for a better friend, companion, mentor, role model, father figure, grand father figure, homie, boss or person than Bruce. His heart was open to anyone that needed anything. I was a strung out derelict when I first met Bruce and he embraced me and befriended me as if he had known me for years. I was 24 and he was 54, awkward at best, but we were like Laurel and Hardy except we were both fat.
